Santa's Protest

**UPDATE** Despite the snow there was an excellent turn out at County Hall by members of Friends of the Earth, the New Barnfield Group and Burning Issue Group, all against incineration of waste. Herts County Council on Santa's Naughty List whilst the group sang anti-incinerator themed carols on Hertbeat radio. The local press took photos and some images will appear here after Christmas. Oppose Incineration? So does Santa!

Join Friends of the Earth's friendly, Christmassy protest as Santa adds Herts County Council to his Naughty List for proposing to build or allow incinerators to be built in Hertfordshire. A domestic incinerator is proposed by HCC at New Barnfield in Hatfield and Biffa have proposed a huge commercial waste incinerator in Ware.

When: Assemble 12:00 midday for about an hour, Friday 18th December 2009.
Where: Outside County Hall, Pegs Lane, Hertford, SG13 8DQ

Wear warm and festive clothing (tinsel, santa hats etc.). Be prepared to sing themed carols and take part in a photoshoot. Local and regional press have been invited.
